چکیده
Pipe-in-pipe (PIP) flowlines have been widely arranged in offshore oil and gas fields for transportation, to achieve a significant thermal insulation capacity outstanding resistance external loads. However, the lateral indentation mechanisms of these multilayer pipelines are more complicated than those single-layer pipelines. In this paper, change deformation laws PIP structure were studied by experimental numerical methods, three stages behavior during observed. The effects diameter wall thickness inner outer pipes on relationship between load also studied, which provided reference design analysis structures.

Numerical and Experimental Study of Flow from a Leaking Buried Pipe in an Unsaturated Porous Media
Considering the numerous applications of the study of the flow due to leakage in a buried pipe in unsaturated porous media, finding a proper model to explain the influence of the effective factors is of great importance. There are various important factors involved in this type of flow such as: pipe leakage size and location, burial depth, the degree of the saturation of the surrounding porous m...
متن کاملNumerical study of heat pipe application in heat recovery systems
Heat pipes, as two-phase heat transfer devices with extremely high effective thermal conductivity. They can be cylindrical or planar in structure. Heat pipes can be embedded in a metal cooling plate, which is attached to the heat source, and can also be assembled with fin stack for fluid heat transfer. Due to the high heat transport capacity, heat exchangers with heat pipes have become much sma...
متن کاملNumerical Analysis of Sediment Transport in Sewer Pipe
The efficiency and economical performance of sewer systems is an essential issue in urban drainage. The need for sewers to carry sediment has been recognized for many years. One of the main problems in designing sewerage systems is the sediment deposition. Sedimentation in sewers occurs regularly according to the alternating natural flow. The present study investigates the hydraulic characteris...
متن کاملExperimental Study of a Buoyant Particle Dispersion in Pipe Flow
A n experimental investigation of a solid–liquid dispersion pipe flow was conducted using a pulsed ultrasonic Doppler velocimeter. The solid phase was composed of buoyant particles dispersed in water. This particular two-phase flow was used to mimic the behaviour of ice–water flow. Four diagnostics were used to study the complex nature of the two-phase flow mixtures: mean velocity profiles, spa...
متن کاملNumerical Investigation of Vortex Interaction in Pipe Flow
To discover the nonlinear characteristics of pipe flow, we simulated the flow as a sum of many vortex rings. As a first step, we investigated the nonlinear interaction among a maximum of three vortex rings. The pipe wall was replaced by many bound vortices. A free vortex ring moves right or left according to the radius, and that of a particular radius keeps the initial position. The energy of a...
